I am interested in a unit at Pineview Village, what’s the first step?

Contact Pineview Village to arrange a time to view the facilities and an opportunity to go through the details of life at Pineview

How long is the waiting list?

Waiting list timeframes are subject to the availability and the needs of each prospective resident. We recommend having a conversation with us if your need is urgent.

How do I secure a unit?

The next step would be to complete a waiting list application form and make payment of a $2,000 deposit. This deposit is fully refundable at any time should you change your mind.

Do I have to accept the first unit offered to me?

No. If the unit offered isn’t acceptable to you, you will remain a priority on the Waiting List and offered the next available unit.

Will I get time to sell my house?

Yes. We allow 3 months for you to sell your house and provide a subject to sale clause if required. The 3-month period starts from the date that your Residence Contract is signed. We do ask that we are given contact details and ability to connect with your real estate agent during this time.

Can I access the unit before settlement?

Yes. Burnside Retirement Services Inc. may allow access to prospective residents to store items or arrange for a removalist from approx. one week before settlement (if there is an unconditional contract on the sale of their house). However, you cannot occupy the unit until settlement.

Does Pineview Village provide in-house Care?

No. Pineview Village is an independent living village and as such residents are encouraged to manage their own care needs. Pineview Village supplies 24/7 Personal Medical Monitoring for residents within their units. Also, to assist residents and their families Pineview staff can provide generalised information and put residents in touch with our partner organisations.

Can I bring my pet to Pineview?

Yes, subject to our Pet Policy. Pineview Village recognises the important role pets play in our residents’ lives. Please ask for a copy of our Pet Policy for more details.

Who takes care of the gardens?

Pineview Village is unique in that residents are encouraged to personalise and maintain their front yards. However, there is the option to return the care of the front garden to the Pineview gardeners who will establish it as a standardised front garden. Residents are responsible for the rear yards.

Common gardens are maintained by the Pineview gardeners, with keen resident gardeners assisting in some areas or utilising the allotted raised garden beds.
