Lucy Shearer

With over 20 years of experience in accounts management, bookkeeping, and financial operations, Lucy brings a depth of expertise shaped by both formal qualifications and extensive hands‑on practice. Holding recognised credentials in Business, Accounting, and Bookkeeping, and having previously served as a registered BAS Agent, she combines technical precision with a natural affinity for numbers that has defined her entire career.

Lucy’s professional background spans a diverse range of industries, including Health (Business Manager of a medical practice), Property and Property Development, Asset Management and Valuations businesses.

This breadth of experience has equipped her with a strong understanding of complex business environments, compliance requirements, and the financial frameworks that support sustainable growth.

Across every role, Lucy is known for her analytical mindset, accuracy, and ability to streamline financial processes while building trusted relationships with stakeholders.

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and exploring creativity through cooking, crafts, and gardening. She also loves walking in nature and Pilates.

 

Elysia Nates

Elysia worked for 20 years in the Aged Care, Disability and Mental Health sectors before transitioning to Administration roles in Allied Health, Accounting and OSHC.

Elysia derives joy from interacting with others and learning about their lives and embodied experiences. Outside of work, Elysia is an avid reader and enthusiastic animal lover who enjoys fixing up her old home and spending quality time with her daughter. She also visits markets and conventions, selling her self-published novels which she dreams of one day becoming best-sellers.

Kylie Hannant is a highly experienced finance executive with over 30 years of expertise spanning the creative, service, and manufacturing sectors. A CPA-qualified accountant, Kylie is recognised for her strategic leadership and precision in financial management, ensuring accuracy and confidence for stakeholders.

Her extensive background and proven ability to navigate complex financial environments make her a trusted advisor and an asset to our organisation. Kylie holds degrees in Accounting and Arts and was awarded First Class Honours in 2024.

Trish Dickson

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Trish relocated to South Australia in 2013 with her family, bringing with her a rich and diverse professional background. With experience across the dental, real estate, and village management sectors, Trish has developed strong capabilities in client service, communication, and operational leadership.

Trish found her professional calling in the retirement living industry, where her passion for building supportive and well-managed communities truly shines. She is committed to enhancing the quality of life for older Australians through thoughtful leadership and a genuinely compassionate approach.

Drawing on her extensive experience, Trish ensures day-to-day operations run smoothly while also supporting strategic planning and compliance across our organisation. She is actively involved in promoting sustainability, financial stewardship, and innovation within our retirement living community.

Outside of work, Trish enjoys travelling, sightseeing, and camping with family and friends. A creative spirit at heart, she also enjoys artistic pursuits—and when time permits, she’s always up for a round of golf!

Joining the Board in 2025, Ian Stone is a strong leader with over 30 years of experience working as a CEO and Non-Executive Director across some of Australia’s most recognisable organisations. As Chief Executive of RAA for 15 years until 2022, Ian was able to build up the organisation to new strengths in areas of membership satisfaction, employee satisfaction and revenue. Ian is ‘passionate about creating value and growth through innovation, culture, and business transformation.’ A Chartered Accountant, Ian’s expertise lies in strategy, risk management, governance, change management, compliance, and financial management. A member of multiple Boards, Ian imparts his 30 years of wisdom for objectives of growth and good strategy.
